It’s expected that T-Mobile CEO John Legere would lead the combined companies if a T-Mobile-Sprint merger were to happen. However, today’s report claims that SoftBank CEO Masayoshi Son wants a say in how the combined company would be run.
The sources of this report caution that we’re still weeks away from finalizing a deal and that it’s possible that no agreement will be reached. One concern is that the U.S. Department of Justice could reject a merger between T-Mobile and Sprint.
We’ve been hearing rumors that T-Mobile and Sprint are in merger talks for years now , but so far we’ve yet to see anything concrete come of these reports. It’s unclear if that’ll be different this time around, so for now all we can do is wait and see.
Do you think that T-Mobile and Sprint will agree to a merger?
